I am currently completing my last unit in a Masters in Education (Digital Technologies) after receiving a Graduate Certificate in Education (Information Technologies) in 2019, both through CSU.

I hold a Graduate Diploma in Further Education & Training from USQ, completed a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40110 in 2011 with TAFE NSW and upgraded to the TAE40116 in 2021 through Fortress Learning.

I hold a Bachelor of Science and Graduate Diploma of Science in Agriculture, both from UNE, where I specialised in botany & ecology.

In 2012 I completed a Diploma of Sustainability 22105VIC with TAFE NSW.

For the last two years I have been the EduTech Lead for TAFE NSW, managing a team of 18 staff across NSW to research, develop and deliver immersive and engaging educational experiences.

Starting in vocational education at a specialist blended delivery centre over twenty-five years ago, we were early leaders in the emerging e-learning era. Learning how to use Frontpage web editor and Janison LMS piqued an early interest in creating engaging and innovative activities that pioneered what could be delivered online.

Heading to the conservation industry for 10 years allowed me to develop project and ecosystem management skills. Stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills were essential and I ended up running my own environmental education business and spearheading a number of successful community sustainability initiatives.

In 2012 I headed back to vocational education, teaching ecotourism, sustainability and foundation studies. My flair for educational technologies steered me towards learning designer work and digital capability uplift for teachers. Since 2018 I have been chiefly working in the learning technologies field and business partnering at C-Suite on behalf of ICT with Chiefs and other senior executive leaders.

I have extensive demonstrated experience leading and managing large complex projects. A thoughtful and human leader, I can quickly build rapport and earn respect from direct reports, developing successful and effective teams.

I am a highly engaging and experienced teacher and facilitator who is passionate about imparting my own knowledge and skills to other teachers to support them to incorporate learning technologies into their delivery where appropriate.

My super power is researching, testing and playing with emerging learning technologies. With so many years experience in the learning design and technologies field, I am competent in using and building with a plethora of edtech tools including Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, H5P, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, H5P, Articulate 360, Miro, Quitch, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, Kahoot, Padlet, Mentimeter, Thinglink, Wakelet and more.

I am confident that if there is an edtech tool I have not tried, I will be able to test it, master it and then train others how to use it within a very short timeframe.
